Through education, promotion, and encouragement, the Oklahoma Court Reporters Association is committed to ensuring the future of the profession of capturing and preserving the spoken word.

OCRA continues to support NCRA's Discover Steno, a program to introduce participants to court reporting. OCRA was one of the first states in the nation to participate in this program that provides prospective students a chance to try out stenography.

A to Z Theory is a FREE six- to eight-week introductory program designed to give participants a hands-on experience with court reporting to help them determine if this is the career they want to pursue.  The groups are led by court reporters, making the program charges minimal, if anything, to participants, while getting firsthand knowledge of court reporting from working professionals.  At the end of the program, participants will be encouraged to enroll in the school of their choice.
